Explore 12 different themed garden terraces, such as the "Rose Symphony Garden" or the "Lavender Field," and don’t miss the Glasshouse Conservatory with its exotic plants and café offering herb-infused treats. The garden also houses a museum and workshops where you can learn about herbs and even create your own herbal sachets.
German-Style Castle and Facilities
At the heart of the garden lies the charming Welcome Garden, which is a German-style building designed in the motif of Wartburg Castle. While it resembles a castle, it primarily serves as a conservatory and event space, symbolizing the connection between Japan and Western influences in botanical science. The castle-like design was chosen to evoke the romanticism of European herb gardens, enhancing the garden’s international appeal. Inside, visitors can enjoy seasonal herb-themed dishes, herbal teas, and aromatic products at the café and shop.
Closing hours vary, however the garden operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM most days, with extended hours during seasonal events. During night time observations only the top observatory is open. A round ticket for adults is 2000 yen or a one way ticket is 1,400 yen. Youth is 1000 yen and 700 yen. Preschool is free. An evening only ticket is 1500 yen and for youth 950yen .
