SEISHINDO
Seishindo (誠心堂) has a 30 year history of making delicious oyaki and is quite the hidden gem with its location being in a narrow alleyway. Oyaki is a specialty of Nagano prefecture. Oyaki are little buns filled with mainly vegetables and some with fillings such as sweet bean paste etc. The oyaki at Seishindo are some of the best. They don’t just have oyaki, but also dango (skewered glutinous rice cake balls) and other kinds of sweets.
If you are looking for a hearty or sweet snack to eat while walking, this is the perfect place to go to. They don’t have an English menu, but the staff has a lot of energy. Even without a common language you will be able to communicate to them what kind of delicious snack you would like to try!
