The hot spring area of Kaga Onsen is made-up of four towns: Yamashiro, Yamanaka, Amazu and Katayamazu. Each of the four towns be reached from Kaga Onsen Station, using the Canbus shuttle service. The overall area boasts a large number of guesthouses and hotels to choose from – ranging from budget to luxury accommodation. As an ‘onsen’ area, almost all guesthouses will have their own in-house hot springs with many serving traditional ‘kaiseki’ (multi-course) meals services. Each town also has a ‘soyu’ (large public bathhouse) centrally located and open to the public. Each town has its own ‘soyu’ (public bathhouse) located near the centre.
