Now known as the ‘Minami Nagano Sports Park’, the Olympic Stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the XVIII Olympic Winter Games. While the stadium and Olympic Cauldreron remain, the stadium has been converted for use as a baseball arena while the nearby Nagano U Stadium is the home ground of J3 League club AC Nagano Parceiro and L.League club AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies. Access to the actual stadium is limited only to those attending events inside.
