One of the five resorts making-up Myoko Kogen, Ikenotaira Onsen Ski Resort is known for its great powder and tree runs. The resort is most popular with locals and outside of weekends, typically quiet meaning that when the snow is good midweek, you can enjoy some truly epic days at Ikenotaira.There is a limited number of accommodation options around the resort, mostly limited to family-run lodges and ‘minshuku’ (basic traditional guesthouses). The recent opening of Lime Resort Myoko is a welcome addition and offers high-end, Western-style accommodation on the doorstep of the resort. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in Ikenotaira, consider staying in Akakura Onsen where you will find the greatest range of accommodation in the area – only a short drive from Ikenotaira.
