One of only two safari parks in Japan, Gunma Safari Park is home to over 100 species of animal from Japan, Asia and Africa. Visitors have the option of driving their own vehicle through the park or making use of park buses that carry visitors through the extensive grounds.While there look-out for elephants, giraffes, rhinos, zebra, bears and lions – with the park’s most famous resident being a rare white tiger. In total, more than 1000 animals roam the grounds with facilities including restaurants, a bbq terrace, a theme park and nearby accommodation all well setup to cater to families.

The park is open daily from 09:30 to 17:00. Admission is JPY2700 per adult and JPY1400 per child. Use of a private vehicle inside the park costs JPY500 or you can ride a safari park bus for JPY500 per person.
