Samurai & Ninja Museum with Experience

Samurai & Ninja Museum with Experience

Just a short walk from Nishiki Market, Kyoto’s Samurai & Ninja Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of Japan’s legendary samurai and mysterious ninja. The museum features guided experiences and exhibitions showcasing Edo Period (1603–1868) armor, weaponry, and artifacts from Japan’s warrior class. Unlike many museums, much of the collection is not confined behind glass (though swords and other weapons are securely displayed), allowing for a more engaging and personal experience. Visitors can also participate in a hands-on samurai experience, making it an unforgettable stop for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike.

While we don’t stop at the Samurai and Ninja museum on our tour, you can join us on our walking tour and learn about some of the areas in Kyoto where samurai lived and fought. Join our Kyoto Heritage path to learn more.
