This annual snow event “The Beeso (The べ〜そ)” is held on the 1st Saturday of March at the square in front of the Chusha (mid-shrine) in Togakushi, Nagano City. The word “Beeso” means “be lousy and party together”, and the event lives up to its name. It is a big outdoor drinking party that one can enjoy almost for free!

Participants can purchase the original “beeso cup” for 300 yen and they can use this to drink all the sake, wine they could wish for. There will be a special stage made of snow where performances such as a fire show, a Japanese drum concert, etc. will be show.

This event is held at the night from 19 pm, therefore please book a hotel in Nagano City in advance!
