Hakata Station is both the largest station in both Fukuoka City and the entire Kyushu region and the terminus to the San’yo Shinkansen and Kyushu Shinkansen lines. Located in the heart of the city and in close proximity to Fukuoka Airport, the vicinity in and around the station – including the large JR Hakata City building – includes the city’s largest concentration of accommodation along with some of Fukuoka best shopping, dining and nightlife. You’ll find multiple large Western-style hotels immediately accessible from the station with a plenty more in the surrounding neighbourhoods including mid-range business hotels and budget options. Many hotels have English, Chinese and Korean-speaking staff with most offering Western-style amenities including bedding and private bathrooms.
