Tokyo: Haneda Airport Area
For passengers flying in and out of Haneda Airport, its close proximity to Tokyo allows the choice of staying in or nearby the airport, or a little further afield in areas including Shinagawa. If your flight is departing or arriving early, staying in or nearby the airport is your best bet with hotels in each terminal and other options around nearby stations. Expect stand business hotels with small but clean, comfortable and quiet rooms.
Some hotels offer shuttle services to and from the airport along with in-house restaurants and other services. If you’re flight isn’t particularly late or early but you want to stay nearby the airport, the area around Shinagawa Station is another good option given its lively atmosphere and great range of restaurants and nightlife.
