Hiroshima: Peace Park / Tokaichi-machi Station Area
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park occupies the northern tip of an island that splits the Motoyasu River in two, before it empties into Hiroshima Bay. It is the most significant and visited destination in the city and while there is no accommodation within the park, there’s a good range of options to the south or over the river around the Tokai-machi Station area. Prices in this area are little more expensive than the central city but not as convenient. If you’ll be spending multiple days in and around the Peace Memorial Park, staying in this area can be a good option. But if you’re only in Hiroshima for a night and want to see as much as possible, we recommend staying around the station or central city.
