Takaoka is a small city located nearby Toyama most famous for the Takaoka Great Buddha - one of Japan's three great Buddha statues - along with Zuiryuji Temple - an important and beautiful Zen Buddhist temple. The city has a range of accommodation options from where visitors can easily access these and other attractions.
