The area around Kannai Station is one of the best precincts to stay when visiting Yokohama. Only 5 minutes by train from Yokohama Station, Kannai Station is quick and easy to reach and offers the greatest concentration of accommodation of any area in the city. It should be noted that Kannai Station is not serviced by a Shinkansen / ‘Bullet Train’ line, with Shin-Yokohama Station being the city’s only shinkansen station. So if you’re looking for the fastest way into Tokyo or to reach other parts of Japan, transferring to Shin-Yokohama will be the best option.
