Rest House Terakoya is located in Terakoya Ski Area, the highest altitude of the Central Area of Shiga Kogen. The restrain is located and the only restaurant in Terakoya area.

Having the fireplace set in the middle of the eat-in area, the house offers warm, cozy space for skiers/snowboarders to enjoy lunch or a short stop for coffee in the midst of the deep mountain. They also have terrace seats so you can enjoy the sun (feezing though) when the mountain has a clear sky. They have various types of lunch menu both western and Japanese, with some vegetarian options (like buckwheat noodles or udon).
