Based in the Okushiga ski fields of Shiga Kogen Ski Resort, Shiga Kogen International Ski School offers skiing and snowboarding lessons in English and other foreign languages. Both group and private lessons are available, catering to all levels from absolute newbies to advanced skiers and snowboarders.

As Japan’s largest and highest ski resort boasting Nagano’s longest season and most reliable snow conditions, Shiga Kogen is the ideal place to learn or hone your skills with a group or private lesson. Group lessons are conducted in the Okushiga ski fields requiring participants to get themselves there while private lessons can be arranged in any area of the resort, with the instructor coming to you.

GROUP LESSONS

The following prices apply to group lessons:

Skiing for Children (4-12 yrs):

・09:30 – 12:00: JPY10,700

・Full day until 15:00: JPY15,800 (includes lunch)

・13:00 – 15:00: JPY9,500 (not available for first-timers)

Skiing for Adults:

・2 Hours: JPY10,500

・4 Hours: JPY15,000

Snowboarding for Adults*:

・2 Hours: JPY10,500

・4 Hours: JPY15,000

*The lesson group size is limited to up to 6 people

*There are no snowboarding group lessons for small children. Children older than 12 years can join the snowboard lessons.

PRIVATE LESSONS

The following prices apply to private lessons:

・2 Hours: JPY25,000

・3 Hours: JPY34,000

・4 Hours: JPY45,000

・5 Hours: JPY53,000
